Chan Thou's Tuk-Tuk
Inspired by a true story, Chan Thou's Tuk-Tuk portrays a day in the life of a Cambodian motorcycle-rickshaw (tuk-tuk) driver and his encounter with a Khmer Rouge official who murdered his parents during the Cambodian genocide of 1975.
Created by Ryan Minezzi and Jennifer Onopa with Emily Leshner, this story was inspired by their 2009 visit to Phnom Penh, where they witnessed a United Nations trial for former Khmer Rouge prison chief Kaing Guek Eav, alias "Duch."
Chan Thou's Tuk-Tuk premiered at Camel Art Space in January, 2010.
